Our History

The name WEDD has been synonymous with quality wholesale flowers in Doncaster for over 80 years when in the early 1930’s Walter Wedd first set the business up. Since that day there have only been two other owners who continue to this day to service the local community.

In 2017 the baton to push the business forward has been handed over to four members of the same family whose intentions are to keep the traditional values and reputation built over the years by WEDD, while at the same time introducing modern buying methods to ensure that WEDD's quality and variety will be unrivalled in the local area.

The Team

We are a very small team centred around a family that relies heavily on a strong work ethic to gain results, we are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that our customer service matches the quality of our flowers.

Between the 4 directors we have flower and plant specialists, a sundries expert and a qualified finance person, this is not forgetting our dedicated salesperson Matthew and of course Brian, who though retiring after 34 years will still be a friendly face in the warehouse.

Cash & Carry

For those of you who are lucky enough to be close to us you may wish to visit our one stop cash and carry which is conveniently situated close to the town centre and Doncaster College.

On the ground floor you will find our newly installed temperature controlled cut flower showroom boasting a vast array of cut flowers and foliages, plus a dedicated warm room for our tropical flowers and plants.

On the first floor you will find row upon row of floral sundry items. If it has anything to do with Floriculture you will find it here and if not available from our stock most goods can be sourced within 48hrs,

Please note we operate a no returns policy for sundry items purchased in our Cash & Carry

Online Shop

Our online shop is great for those who can't use the Cash & Carry. You can order flowers and plants from all over the globe, not just Dutch.

We also have an App you can use on your tablet or mobile phone. It works for Apple and Android.

To use our online shop you will need to register for an account* - once approved you will be buying great quality flowers and foliage in no time. Trade customers are welcome and we can offer credit terms, subject to approval. Sorry, but we DO NOT serve members of the public.

All purchases are Express delivered from the grower or auction to your door in around 24 hours and every online purchase is covered by a 24 hour money back guarantee on all genuine complaints - though we don't expect any.
